The REDS1 (8th grade) team had an impressive start to the season by going 4-0-1 and winning the MSDHL Jamboree Championship last night in front a packed crowd.  Led by the spectacular goaltending of Stephen Young, the team performed as expected.  All the games were close but The REDS1 kept finding the back of the net each tilt.  The Championship game vs Masco, was a hard fought battle and ended in a tie.  After a sudden death overtime, the teams went toe-to-toe in a shootout, then a sudden death shootout.  Young stood on his head and the REDS1 pulled away with the win!

The REDS2 (6, 7, 8th graders) have their jamboree on Sunday @ 11a at Tsongas Arena.  This will be the final tryout game for any additional players.    For more details, contact info@selectskillshockey.com. 

 

 

    

SSH Instructor Joe Whitney has been on fire leading the Albany Devils in points and 6th in overall AHL scoring.  Like so many Boston College fans are used to, Joe has explosive quickness and is always a danger with the puck.

INDIVIDUAL TRAINING SERIES

For the fifth year, Select Skills will be sponsoring (2) teams in the premier Middle School league in Massachusetts, MSDHL.  It is the only Middle School League in Massachusetts that allows checking and high school rules.  Jr Reds players also get a skills package provided by Select Skills Hockey. 

All Jr. Reds games are played in the areas premier private school rinks such as Belmont Hill, Governors and Philips Andover against best competition coming from the EHF, NEHL and Mass Select leagues. Our teams play in the MSDHL, New England's largest independent Middle School League.

Program Outline:

• Season: Mid Nov,  2011 - March , 2012
• Teir 1 Competition
• Only Middle School League with Checking & High School Rules
• MSDHL Jamboree
• (11) MSDHL Games - plus playoffs
• (3-4) Playoff Games
• (6) Skills Sessions with SSH Staff @ Flynn Rink
• (3) Optional Non-League Games
• Cost: $350 ($250 deposit; balance due prior to 1st game)
